Fresh from a full week of urban walking in Los Angeles, the steps, the streets, the blocks and the sky are calibrated together in an exercise of counting and mark making.

There are 2000 +/- steps in a mile, with an average stride.

This painting reiterates the rhythm, the memory, and the great pleasure of walking. The inherent reference to every step, each one the same but different, situates the viewer inside the experience of walking inside the urban grid.
