Blair Vaughn-Gruler

The Shingle Objects naturally evolved from the Shingle Paintings. They are more assemblage than paint, more cardboard than canvas and more object over illusion.

Many of this series started with discarded packaging that was too well engineered to go directly to the landfill. Instead, they became elevated into “art,” via glue, wood, paint and a sense of humor.
