Graffito is the singular of graffiti, and in this case it’s a singular made of of the plural. As with asemic writing, the meaning of the writing is secondary (or nonexistent) to the formal shapes and semiotic character of the marks.

In other words, snippets of writing and shapes floating somewhere in the real or virtual cosmos.
